HONOR Launches the New HONOR Magic V5 in China



The next-generation foldable smartphone, the HONOR Magic V5, was introduced in China today by the global AI device ecosystem business HONOR.  With its first mass-produced 6,100mAh silicon-carbon battery with 25% silicon content, the HONOR Magic V5 is the thinnest and lightest inward-folding smartphone to date, showcasing the latest advancements in smartphone industrial design and innovation.  The agentic YOYO assistant, which is AI-powered, offers additional AI capabilities to help customers get the most out of the big screens.  Starting today, the Honor Magic V5 can be purchased in China for RMB 8,999 both online and in a few physical stores.


The World’s Thinnest and Lightest Inward-folding Smartphone with Unparalleled Durability



The HONOR Magic V5, with its incredibly thin 8.8mm shell and light weight of 217g, establishes a new industry standard for portability in foldable smartphones.  The industry-leading AI-powered production system enabled HONOR's unwavering pursuit of engineering excellence, which is reflected in these advances.  This ground-breaking method improves structural integrity and dependability, producing an almost wrinkle-free fold and improving the user experience with each touch.

The HONOR Magic V5 has water and dust resistance ratings of IP58 and IP59.  The gadget offers remarkable durability against scratches and normal impact thanks to its engineering, which includes HONOR's Carbon Fiber Reinforced Inner Display Panel and Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield on the exterior screen.  A layer of carbon fiber with a deformation resistance of 380 GPa serves as a strong shock absorber inside.  The HONOR Super Steel Hinge's remarkable 2300MPa tensile strength further fortifies the apparatus and permits seamless folding.

Designed to increase productivity, the 6.43-inch outside screen enables easy access to necessary features while on the go, while the huge 7.95-inch inner screen provides ample room for multitasking, resulting in a seamless and immersive experience.

The first 6100mAh HONOR Silicon-Carbon Battery in the industry, which is only available in the 1TB model, establishes a new standard for innovation with the HONOR Magic V5.  With a remarkable 25% silicon content and the maximum energy density of 901Wh/L, this ground-breaking battery boasts the first mass-produced high-silicon design in history.  The HONOR Magic V5 guarantees excellent safety, great efficiency, and optimal thermal performance when paired with the Power Enhanced Chip HONOR E2 and the SoC voltage regulator chip.  The HONOR Magic V5's state-of-the-art battery technology is complemented with 66W Wired and 50W Wireless HONOR SuperCharge, which provides quick and flexible charging options to keep users energized all day.

The HONOR Magic V5 offers professional-caliber photos because to its HONOR AI Falcon Camera System.  The configuration includes a 50MP Wide Camera, a 50MP Ultra-Wide Camera, and an improved 64MP Periscope Telephoto Camera Lens.  Users may take sharp, detailed pictures and videos in any situation or at any zoom level by combining strong optics with cutting-edge AI image processing.


A Smarter User Experience with MagicOS 9.0.1

HONOR continues to embrace the era of autopilot AI, spearheading the smartphone revolution.  HONOR Magic V5's primary operating system, MagicOS 9.0.1, also includes HONOR's AI Agent, YOYO, which enables users to easily complete everyday tasks with basic commands, such as creating PowerPoint presentations, coding, searching, sharing files, booking taxis, accessing live cameras, sharing screens, and more.

Color, Pricing and Availability

A variety of colors, including Ivory White, Black, Dawn Gold, and Reddish Brown, will be offered for the HONOR Magic V5.  The Honor Magic V5 will be available for pre-order in China on July 2nd, with prices starting at RMB 8,999.  Later this year, the gadget will also be introduced to foreign markets.
